And not just a leader at the office but a leader by example in life. Someone people look to for direction and support. Inspired by people I’ve met I wanted to share with you the 5 values I found in a leader and why we should value them too. Along with decision making and a vision, leaders are those who are the direction and example that people will follow. Leaders guide, support and inspire others to strive for amazing things. A leader should be there for the tasks and work. In a leaders presence you should feel supported and trusted for the effort you make.
Values of a Great Leader :
1. Transparency
A leader should be transparent to create trust within their direct circle of people. Being completely transparent with your actions and intentions shows your initiative and direction of your choices. You are no longer hiding anything from anyone, completely open! There is nothing anyone could ever use against you or judge you for because you’ve owned everything, you are by being transparent.
2. Authenticity
Like transparency you want to present yourself as only you. Being 100% authentic is stripping away the labels people want to give you and living by who you are inside and sticking to that. Authenticity is so important because once you show that you are being true to yourself, people will see this and respect it. Because who is a better you than you?
3. Respect
Whether it be through admiration/appreciation of another’s hard work and effort. You should handle difficult situations with consideration and respectfully. A leader with respect will gain the respect from others around them. A leader does not stand on a pedestal and make orders, a leader respects his employees and leads by example in their vision.
4. Integrity
Fulfil promises and meet the expectations of the people around you. Having the strength to carry out what you wish others to do with you, will promote the culture of trust and commitment to you and your team.
5. Passion
I love passion. It is so important in a leader because when you can see and experience the care and commitment to a cause or a vision, that’s when you are inspired and motivated. Along with enthusiasm, passion brings the joy and pleasure in working hard and pushing forward. Passion is the driver to action. These are the 5 values I admire most in the leaders in my life. I was inspired by these values to be the CEO of my own company and have a loyal and committed team. This drove me to be able to create a culture of trust in my business and personal life. I believe these values don’t only work at the office, but at home with your family and friends, too. Ultimately, a vision to inspire everyone to be their own best leader. These values are not only for empowering those around you but also for empowering yourself. Strive for the greatest. Living by values is an amazing way to lead yourself, your family and friends, your employees and team and then ultimately society. See how these values help you become the best version of yourself and impact your personal life, professional life and in the grand scheme of things lead the world to change for the common-good of planet earth.
